If that's what one wants, why doesn't one just find an El Camino?  Sell the Cadillac to someone who will appreciate it.

If... the machine of government... is of such a nature that it requires you to be the agent of injustice to another, then, I say, break the law.  ~Henry David Thoreau, On the Duty of Civil Disobediance, 1849

"Personally I think a 62 Cadillac El Camino would look great."

So do I and I have wanted one for a long time (not necessarily a '62, although that would be fine), but my money always seems to be needed somewhere else.

The one Stampie provided the link to would be a great one to buy and restore after my '35 is finished.

Barry Wheeler had a pickup for sale using a '41 '60 Special as a base that I would also have loved to have been able to buy.

The Mirages built in '75 and '76 were very nice.

That 62 Flower Car is not as bad in person as it is in the pictures.  I've been to Goldenrod Garage a few times and saw it.  The owner is a pretty good guy too.
