Hello,

I removed the rear trim to inspect the rear windshield channel rust. I was able to remove both lower trims without kinking or breaking them, surprisingly. Putting them back in im sure will be just as difficult as removing them. I rather not remove the rear windshield completely as I dont want to break the windshield. My question is:

Would it be advisable to clean up as much rust as i can get to with removing the windshield , apply rust converter, apply strip caulk and put the trim back ? At least to buy me time so I can enjoy driving it.
