Dumb oil question for 57 Caddy

I know this is a real dumb question but where do you pour the oil when filling... I was assuming through the "filler"tube, so remove the cap and fill? But as i was ready to do thethe oil change, i started to doubt my thinking and didn't want to make an error.

Yep, that's where it goes--conveniently located on top the engine by the fuel pump.

Always a good idea to put a little oil on the filter lid gasket before you put the lid on.  I also put about 1/2 qt of oil in the filter housing with the filter.  Make sure the lid is TIGHT!  Oil will go flying everyplace if it's not.
