I finally got my rear fenders from the body shop, and installed them today . The front fenders need polishing yet and I should have them in a couple of days. I'm still waiting for my coil bracket to be fabricated, then I can strart the engine.
I have been waiting over a year for that piece. The doors are at the body shop and my chroming is slowly coming along. My running board rubber is being made now and I should have them in a few more weeks. Then its the trunk and hood, tires, uphoulstery and a bunch more chroming . I'll post pics as I advance along.

That's amazing work KD!  The first day that V-16 turns over the frustrations of waiting a year for a bracket will fade away.....

Is there something special/complicated about the coil bracket?

KD

The coil bracket is cast and it has a steel cover plate. Here is a pic

KD, That's one great engine. I would love to hear it. Maybe you can post up a video clip when it's running.

His Caddy is actually a secret project time machine.

KD

I don't know how the dates got that way.
It's the real deal.
I spoke to my body guy and he said next week for the front fenders,

We'd love to hear her Ken. I've never heard a 16 engine.
I bet it sounds mean, and lean. Kinda like a Marine. Hehe.

KD,

I have found that the motor (V-16) that is in your car is really a high point for worth among the car lovers in this club........if I could turn the clock back, a V-16 would be my main target for my car. Also let me add a convertible brings value as well.

Good luck,
Tony

Here are some new pics.
I've got the fenders, doors and the bumpers on and I'm working on the windows ( waiting for some channels). The headlights are at the body shop and will take the hood and trunk over there soon. I still need to get the grill chromed and some miscellaneous pieces  chromed and I have to install the rubber on the running boards and the upholstery installed but I'm getting close.
I have a water leak I'm working on and I had the starter rebuilt, so as soon as I fix the leak and install the starter, I'll try to start it. Wish me luck. I will try to video the starting and of the engine running.

Looks amazing!!!  Love the "I dont have much room" comment too. Our 59 fits in the garage with literally 8" to spare.  Noah has dubbed the movement of us getting around the car "the Caddy Shuffle!"
