Need one taillight lens for my 1939 LaSale Series 50.  Does anyone know where I can purchase one or does anyone have a lens for sale?

Thank you.

Hello Dennis, there is a subtle difference between a 1939 Lasalle tail light lens and a 1940 50 series Lasalle lens. They are the same dimensions and will fit interchangeably. (is that a word?). The 1939 has one bullseye on the inside for one bulb in the socket. 1940 50 series has two bullseyes on the inside for two bulbs in the socket. (1940 was the first year for signal lights).

You may have to go with the repro plastic 1940 lens for now from Mc Veys because finding a real glass lens from 1939 is going to be difficult. Maybe watch Ebay.

There are also 2 or 3 vendors who advertise in the commercial classifieds in the Self Starter that still have prewar Cad/Lasalle parts.

Hello Dennis, This Ebay vendor has  these to fit a 1939 Cadillac 61. These are exactly the same for 1939 Lasalle. Only  one is a real 1939 Cad/Lasalle lens. It is the one in the upper right corner in the group shot. It has remnants of the black gasket on it. See if you can make a deal with him for just that one. The other 5  are useless trash. This lens will be hard to find but don't pay $500 for it.
