Post by: 60eldo on April 15, 2024, 08:47:24 PM
So Im getting my motor rebiult as you may no by now, and starting to buy some things I will need. Im looking at plus and I have autolite 85 in mind. Would they be ok. Or is there something better I should go with. Also when lowering eng to trans. Motor mounts on or off. The water pump wont be on the engine, should I install it before or after engines in.

Motor mounts in the engine. To hard to bolt on after. Also notice which ears and from what direction the motor mounts bolt to. I had mine misplaced originally and my motor was twisted 1/2 inch.

Buy NOS green ring AC44s on ebay.  They're worth every penny.

I've been very happy with Autolite 85's in both of my cars.

TBH, I'm not sure. I don't recall having to choose. How do you tell?
