Help Needed.   I’ve been searching for a decent 56 Sedan de Ville.  I missed a gorgeous maroon one last year in Denver.  Found a lovely one at Spud’s Garage before that but it had been sold.  Drove 6 hours to see one that turned out to be a Bondo reproduction of a Cadillac. No restomods, please.  I need a ‘driver’ that could be roadworthy without major work.   Parkinson’s Disease has taken much of my ability to restore a “project car” and since I can’t weld a straight line these days, a rust bucket is out of the question.  My sewing skills are shaky, too, so a serviceable interior would be a plus. My dream car would be Goddess Gold, but anything other than pink, blue or bright red could work.  If you know of a 56 SDV that needs a new, loving home, please let me know.  Any help appreciated.  Thanks.  Yogi  951.391.1567

Thanks, Marty.   I'm on it.  Appears to be just what I had in mind.

Mostly bad pictures. No shot of the motor. Does it till have all the AC parts?  Does it work? No shot of the drivers seat. It always appears that things are being hidden. My thoughts.

Too much fun is more than you can have.

Looking at the dash, I can see that the A/C controls are not there. They should be centered on the dash right below the glove box. And you can't tell if the evaporator unit is still in the trunk because of the liner that's been installed.
The only thing that even suggests it might have air are the fresh air intake scoops on the 1/4 panels.

Thanks, guys, for looking out for me.  I, too, get skeptical when pictures and descriptions leave out details.   That's why I called the guy to discuss the things that I couldn't see.  The seller and his wife went above and beyond by sending me dozens of other photos.  They got me photos of the Engine bay, close-ups of all under-body, floor pans, frame, rocker panels, exhaust system, fuel tank, underneath the door bottoms, under the trunk mat/carpet, headliner.  Gauge cluster has been refurbished and all working.  Brakes and master cylinder rebuilt. Power seat works. Recent Coker WWW Radials. New windshield. Clock works.  All new tubes for the radio.  Some changes done for drivability include electric fuel pump, alternator, electronic ignition and electric wiper conversion.  We got on FaceTime and he showed me even more.  It runs well and appears to drive and handle nicely.  The seller has insisted on taking it to the local Dealer tomorrow morning to have everything checked before is gets shipped to the West Coast.  Yes.  We made a deal and it will be heading out West within a few days.  I'm happy.  He's happy.  Oh, and the a/c system parts are all accounted for and I'll get that stuff reinstalled and working--summer out this way requires a/c.  Again, thanks to you guys for your cautious perspective.  And a Big thanks to Marty Smith for sharing the link to this car.
