Anybody have experience with rehabbing the mirror specifically the three way 56 eldo mirror?

there appears to be a coating on the surface and mine has some wear prob from the visors.
not sure what type of coating this would be.

Also looking to re-silver the left side mirror but cant get my head around how to disassemble the unit.
Looks to have a press fit fitting any guidance would be much appreciated as well as any recommendations for re-silvering.
