I have a rear trunk that I think fits Cadillac and Duesenberg can anyone tell me if this was a factory accessory. The trunk is very heavy and has a wood linning. I do have a picture of one on the rear of a 36 Cadillac and a 1932 Duesenberg but do not know if it was a aftermarket type or a original factory accessory. That style trunk was first offered on 1932 Cadillacs. Also used on 1933's. They were 40" wide. In 34 they offered the same style but I think they were 47" wide. With the advent of built-in trunks, they quickly became obsolete.

What model Cadillacs in 1936-37 did not come with a trunk as part of the body???? The trunk is 40" wide.

That late style steel trunk with a wood interior is a very desirable trunk.  I had one of those, and was told it was for Cadillac V-16 or some Duesenbergs.  In any event , don't sell it cheap.   I think I got $1200 for mine 15 years ago.

No, Just the 32,33 Style.  Same size but more rounded shape like the one pictured.

This fellow had a very  nice 1930 - 31 low boy trunk for sale at Hershey. The wood was excellent and no dents no luggage. his number is 913-321-1216    forgot the price he was asking but the low trunk is very rare 19 In. high. sample picture
