When I bought the '41 the "Low" gear indicator marker was missing from the quadrant.

Does anyone have on available ?

Thanks

I suggest that you try Eddie Jones, he is a parts supplier and he salvages  40's Cadillacs.  His number is 763 689 4842 and e-mail is cadillacjones@Q.com.  He is honest and his prices are fair and reasonable.

Gary, I sent an email but it bounced back. A google search gave nothing, is there a website ?

Rusty,
Pull your steering wheel. Make sure you have the correct adapter so you don't crush the horn contact!!!  I very well might have fallen down there. I found many in the "bowl" of the column years ago. If not, pop over to Steve Passmores  house. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you "borrowed" one. LOL!
Sorry Steve... yes, I know I owe you an email... the trouble is, I'm not sure whether  to write it in English or Latin.

Russ,   I am sorry I erred, I used the e-mail address in the club registry and apparently it is out of date. I went to my  inbox and found Eddie Jones current e-mail address.   cadiallacjones@peoplepc.com    I hope he can assist you.

Bobs suggestion is very good Russ, it may well be down in the column bowl.  My wheel came off with a blow to the underside with a rubber mallet.

Good point.

Are these simply press in/glued in from underneath or is there a securing clip of some kind ?

Steve Passmore

I think they must be glued as I saw no clips on mine when I had it apart.

These are typically held in place by a couple of small dimples at each 'letter' created with a drift on the back side of the housing.

If Eddie does not have what you need, try Steve Cooley (352) 382-2271   http://stevecooleymotors.com/cadillac-parts/.  I got a full set from him a couple years ago.

Good Luck!
