Due to downsizing and other related issues, I am selling my 1940 LaSalle Special Convertible Coupe.  As many of you know, there are approximately 38 of the 425 produced left on the road.  Mine has received a "Frame-On" restoration.  The engine was rebuilt with all new components less than 1,500 miles ago, as were the breaks, steering, suspension, etc., etc.  All the gauges have been rebuilt by Palo Alto Speedometer and work, they also confirmed the speedometer as reading correctly.  I believe the odometer is correct at just over 73,000 miles.   I had the car repainted last summer in a color close to the original oxblood maroon but it shows lighter in bright sunlight.  The body is straight and shows no evidence of ever being wrecked.  The last three I know of sold for $110,000, $127,000, and $181,500.  Since mine is not a frame-off restoration I'm not bold enough to ask for that kind of money.  My car could still use some refreshing.  I am asking $70,000.  Some photos attached.  Email: dwarder1941email addresses not permitted or phone (509) 720 4474.

Beautiful car Don. Interestingly two maroon 40 LaSalle convertibles available at once and both in Washington state. My 5029 4 door convertible is on the block also.  Different in many ways but still an interesting coincidence.

As Don and I have discussed, putting them together in the forum may be interesting??
