With deepest regret we have to sell another victim of our almighty Cisitalia (see wikipedia for that) issue.

Since many years we are restoring two of these and we are slowly but surely running out of patience (read: money) and that is why additional funds are needed:

Up for sale is a beloved but never driven (by us) Cadillac which we own for quite a while by now.
The car is situated in Uruguay and stored in a local car museum in Montevideo. It has been featured in a classic car book, written by the museum's director (see picture)
A very rare and collectible car, some historical notes can be found below here!

The pictures show the car today and when found, plus when works started.

It's a driver of course and has eaten up considerable money over the past years as well (you see, we are good breeders) and it doesn't come easy to sell that elegant lady. But again, see above.

Some details:
Technical details:
Length: 5,1m
Width: 3,1 m
Weight: 1750 kg
Height: 1,68 m
5,7-Liter-V8 flathead with 135 HP

What should be done:
Paintjob:
-          Sanding of (again) rusted parts
-          Complete body paint and interior
-          Chrome plating of bumpers, door handles and front grille
Mechanics:
-          Engine and gearbox oil change
-          Suspension and steering system greasing
-          Chassis greasing

Please mind that the passenger side wing got dented while moving it around within the museum!

As stated in the beginning, we need to concentrate on fewer projects but it is still no emergency sale. The car is incredibly rare, on the other hand it is not finished of course.
Please make a reasonable offer and make two parties happy.

Greetings from Europe,
Raoul and Nikolaus

HISTORY OF THE 1939 CADILLAC SERIES 61
For 1939, Cadillac took a step forward with the styling of their Series 61 which started with a sleeker die-cast grille design. The interior saw numerous improvements over previous models. The column mounted "syncromatic gearshift" lever and dashboard hinged emergency brake lever improved interior space for more legroom and headroom. To highlight the cars noticeably lower stance, running boards became optional. Larger windows increased the driver's view which increased safety and allowed for a streamlined dashboard that blended the instruments and controls effortlessly into the design. These improvements caught the attention of the American public as Cadillac noticed increasing sales versus the previous years. Power was provided by the 346ci flathead V8 engine that was machined to the highest possible standards and provided a smooth 135hp. The Series 61 was offered in four standard designs for 1939: the four-door touring sedan, four-door convertible sedan, two-door coupe and the sleek two-door convertible coupe. Rear folding opera seats were offered on the two-door Series 61 variants, improving appeal without sacrificing style. Only 5,913 Series 61 Cadillacs were assembled for 1939 though the appearance of the 1939 convertible coupe has made the model highly sought-after by collectors and enthusiasts.
Off the style 39-6167 (Convertible Coupe) 2 seater with 2 "opera seats" only 350 were made.
