I have a 31 caddy 355a and use Auto Lite 386 spark plugs (18mm hole)

The question is about Freeze Plugs, or Welsh Plugs, not Spark Plugs.

It's what I can see from the 28-36 master parts list:
1 7/8" expansion, in top of crankcase
2 1/4" expansion, aluminum at rear of cam shaft
I hope this will help you.
