1937 LaSalle coupe

Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving. I will have to have my '37 LaSalle grill emblem rechromed. Afterwards, what color red and purple are need to paint around the shield ? I was thinking of going to a paint store and getting some paint samples as close as possible. Then using model paint and mix to match. Surely others have other ideas and I will listen to your results.... Thanks... John C. Lehman... CLC # 26365...

I needed to repaint the badges on my Lasalle and planned to do it myself but after investigating I discovered you really need to use something better than hardware store or model paint and the cost of buying all the colors of good paint. (Exterior sign paint) was more than having my local Pinstripper do it.
They are pros and it looks great.
You also need an authentisity manual to get the right colors.
The also did the "Lasalle" on the bumpers and hubcaps
