Need help in converting vinyl roof code to a paint code for touching up (metal) border moldings.

The top code is J (white) for 1979 Cadillac. I would imagine Cotillion White would be probably be a close match but wanted to be certain.

This matches Cotillion White code 11. I've used this paint for door panels.  Its a great match. Not too "White" as Cotillion White was a subdued color. Its inexpensive enough to give it a try. https://www.amazon.com/Dupli-Color-EBGM01387-General-Exact-Match-Automotive/dp/B0053OIITS/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=duplicolor+dover+arctic+white&pd_rd_r=a18afecc-45ed-4102-9c07-3d4c625b97a5&pd_rd_w=AQiSI&pd_rd_wg=FkiXP&pf_rd_p=69d18130-6e8f-49ee-b708-7afee8d6d397&pf_rd_r=NYA5RF0Y2XZZYGHQKEC1&qid=1564059441&s=automotive&sr=1-1-catcorr&vehicle=1979-46-406------------&vehicleName=1979+Cadillac+DeVille

Thanks Joe. Keep in mind I'm looking to match the moldings only - not the body color. Is Cotillion the same color as the paint used for the border trim?

Eric,

I compared Cotillion with the top samples in the 79 paint selector in various light. It's close but not perfect. I think it depends on how large an area you need to touch up. If it's small and you blend the edges with an air brush it might be acceptable. The '79 white tops are bright white with some tint of green or blue. Cotillion is a softer buttermilk shade of white.
Using the "eyeball" spectrometer '63 Aspen White is the closet match to the '79 top color that I found. It's paint code 12, Lucite 4405-L. Whatever color you select, try a test sample in the sunlight.

Ralph... your recommendation of 1964 Aspen White was spot on. Thanks!
