Bob,
YO! U's tokken ta me.
My 47 convert is one of my most recent acquisitions.
I restore frame off so I am always in the market to fill in what I don't have, and replace what needs to be upgraded.
With the 47, many of the parts back through the 40's are interchangeable - lucky for everybody needing parts - even me.
In my search for parts - here - there, friends, forum, overseas, and eBay(nick name eBay w....ore), I may get carried away sometimes - but never maliciously.
I love these Cads and the hobby - "hands on, since I can't afford to buy restored".
Have fun,
Steve B.

I am interested in:

1. Back up light linkage.  Is it for a Hydramatic or manual transmission?
2. Steering wheel center emblem $35.  What year is it for?  If for 1942-50, are the 3 tabs (ears) at the back intact? Can you email a photo?
3. Trunk light unit $15.  Is it the kind with a mercury switch?  Does it work?  Can you email a photo?
4. Complete under-dash heater assembly $75.  What year is it for?  Can you email a photo?  Does it work?
5. Front wheel brake linings and shoes $60.  What year is it for?  Can you email a photo?

Thanks,

Hi George,
Yes, a correct '41 heater would be good. I have one, but it has to be restored, how's yours?
Thanks George

Thanks Steve, yeah, I guess they all do! Made progress yesterday, found and ordered a 12v fan motor that will work nicely in the heater and scavenged some handles for the vent doors.
Thanks again,
Don

Thanks - What I need in case anyone else has for a 1940 Cadillac Series 75 4dr. convertible:
Driver wind wing crank unit (mine doesn't work).  We have the door upholstery off  now as are doing a full restoration so now is the time to replace this.,

Also could use the original fuel sending unit.  Anyone have these?  I think I read that McVey's sells fuel tank sending units, so will be giving them a call.

I was not aware that Steve B. purchased all of these parts.

I sent several PMs to George, but never heard anything back.  If he sold everything to Steve B., then that would be a good explanation as to why he never replied.

Steve Passmore

If you look back at Bobby's post and Steve Bs reply that gives the impression he bought it all.
