This may have been discussed before. I recently replaced the front brake cylinders on my 37 LaSalle with the later and larger 1 1/8" bore cylinders. The front cylinders will also bolt in nicely in the rear so I can now replace the rear 1" bore cylinders with the former 1 3/32" bore front cylinders.  Have any of you ever done this? Am I risking locking up the rear wheels during hard braking?. The area of the fronts over the area of the rears would be 6% if I make this change. The stock configuration is 19.4%. Opinions?

Why not just put 1" back on?  Problem with front ones on the back is the fronts are designed for a rubber pipe fitting and the rears are for a banjo so you have to adapt some.

Steve, Thanks for responding. Just looking for additional braking.
