I am looking for opinions of what a 72 500 V-8 would be worth. I know it's in good shape internally and had a recent valve job. Thanks.

If the crank is good then that $200 makes up most of the $350 the "core" is worth in the marketplace

They really don't seem to have much value especially if not in a running driving car.  Out of the car they seem to sit for sale forever and only asking a few hundred.  No one seems to be doing swaps with them anymore so small chamber heads and Eldo pans don't have any special value and not that many of them die in otherwise good Cads so Cad people are not really looking for them either.

I had one listed for $250 for 6 months before I took $200 for it.  That was a ran when parked complete motor with Eldo pan and a bare block and crank and rebuilt years ago but sat on shelf small chamber heads.  I have actually been seeing quite a few complete engine and trans combos that people got years ago for a project and never did anything with.

Bruce,
Too bad I don't still have that "blow up" Eldo spare tire. I could put one of my motors on it and float it down you way.
