Can anyone tell me if the 1958 Cadillac Commercial Chassis used the same gas tank as the rest of the 58 model line?

John Binder, CLC#16715

Dear Chad,

Checked my 1959 Cadillac Master Parts Manual.....

Group # 12.3250  Fuel Tank, Less Float Unit

Part # 363 0756 Fits ALL 1957 Models and 1958 Comm Chassis Only

Part # 363 0958 Fits All 1958 Models Except 1958 Comm Chassis
                        and also 1959 Commercial Chassis

Part # 363 1331 Fits All 1959 Models except Comm Chassis

So in Short For your 1958 CC ..... Find a good 1957 tank !

If yours isnt really really bad, find a GasTank ReNEW Franchise
they did a great job on our 1957 Eldo tank (Same as yours)
repaired small leaks, installed new pickup tube,
used special lifetime coating on inside, pvc undercoating
on outside (Looks Very Original)  for about $350
just add a new stainlees steel fuel line from
Online Tube and your worries are over !

HAPPY HUNTING,
