Can anyone identify this air cleaner? Is it GM?
Its on a 1961 Caddy I just bought.
It looks almost better than the stock version.
Thanks!

What carb does it have?   Didn't both the Carter and Rochester have a different size inlet which was also different than the 70's 4bbls like Holley, Edel, and the Q jets?

If its a later carb perhaps its got the matching later air filter?

Other than pointing to the other side, it looks the same as what is on my 61 Eldorado .

His looks too shallow to be from the early 60's at least from Cadillac.    The pic of that 61 is what I remember from that era.

If I had to guess, I'd say SBC.
The top profiles are different if the other '61 is correct, so it's not of that vehicle.   So many air cleaners, common to swop parts.  Also repro.
If it's not repro, it's had a rattle can job for sales appeal, common to do.
You can reverse search by the filter number, what it might have come from but tedious and wide fitment possible.
Usually, there's no numbers on the shells and without decals, pre-smog era, are only varying by the throat size, which only changed once and the notch for orienting the snorkle.  That fine point stuff isn't well documented anywhere.
I bought an era Olds one and it fit the carb but the snorkle was out 90 deg.  Who cares, I changed to tri power...

I'm just wondering if its got a Holley or Edelbrock on it so that is why someone then had to change the filter to match.
