Title: '56 deville
Post by: bluebelle on December 10, 2012, 09:27:11 PM
Hi, all. Have a long row to hoe here so here goes. This will be a body off resto. I have a 1956 cdv (hope the pic posts) needs a little work. The 365 doesn't run, but she spins. Shouldn't take long to figure it out. Minor. Body is pretty straight, although there are a couple of bullet holes in it. ( was stored in a field for a while.......drunken farmers I'm thinking) Minor. The floor pans are bad but can be replaced. Also minor. The rest of the body is pretty much cancer free, surprizingly. The interior will take some effort, but can be done. The original colours were black w/white top. Not sure where that pukey brown came from. I am missing or need a few things. Some badging on the hood and fenders. If anyone knows where I can find these I would appreciate it. One tail light housing is busted. Not sure where to find that either. Mechanically, I can find just about everything else. Today is Dec 10. We have our independence day on July 1 up here, and I'm expecting to be driving it.If anyone out there has tips or hints, I would be glad to listen. Ive done restos before, but this will be my first caddy.

Thanks for reading this post.
