Well, here is how far I've gotten lately. feels slow and pathetic but lots to do. Ordering a overhead A/C system to install in the car...hot out here in Calif...about half the wiring is done, need
to tackle the engine harness...ready to paint the interior parts...dash, window trim for the front doors, glove box etc. I think I am going to polish the back area trim as it is all aluminum and really will look nice and kinda period for the car.
Anyone know of a clear coat for aluminum? to maintain the shine etc? anyways, the front fenders, front and back doors, hood and rear hatch are all finished and ready to paint....I need to get the fenders and hood on, then the back doors and do the fitment from front to back and then give the whole car to Matt to complete the fitment work at the back doors. Currently running about 50 ft of heater hose for the 3 heater coils and then to hang the fenders and hood. I'll keep you guys posted when I can!

Does the engine already have an AC compressor (and other system parts) on it, or are you just inventing your own system? AC is a feature on my wish list ... but way down the list!
hey Andrew! the ac system I am buying is complete. All the new compressors use very little horsepower in comparison to the older stuff....so go completely new for the best results. Is it factory? Nope, but my car didn't have ac anyway so the purists can kiss my ?????????????????. Anyway, lots of options online for aftermarket ac systems. Going to have to make a bracket to mount the compressor is about the hardest thing I foresee. Top left of my motor has the space for it. Hows the Lasalle coming along?

Very Slowly :( . Getting stuck on small stuff like ball joints and brake line nuts that I don't always have the tools on hand for. And this whole "school" thing take up so much time...
But I'm collecting pictures, and I'll start my own restoration thread soon enough. ;D
Here is some shots of the body parts back on and the AC installed. AC should be hard to notice once the headliner and box goes back on. We had to route out the divider wall to accommodate the AC lines to the overhead unit. also built a custom bracket for mounting the compressor. Wired up and it is pretty quiet for the volume of air being forced. Really happy with the way it turned out. Hey Andrew, Hows it going on your end?

Looking good! Great idea puting the A/C unit up over the driver. If I recall, most pro cars had a storage compartment up over there that is mostly unused.
Hey David, that compartment is called the linen closet and I guess it was used for linen storage......sheets and towels I assume.
