I have just completed a cosmetic restoration of both my steering wheels and don't really need 2 of them. One is back on my Sedan DeVille and I couldn't be happier. I am putting feelers out to ask if anyone has an urgent need for the other one and what you'd be willing to pay for it. These wheels have been correctly done but are painted and not re-cast. The chrome was not re-chromed.  They look and feel marvelous. The chrome is average for the age so I wouldn't dare to call the entire wheel "show" but the color finish is fantastic. Minor but many cracks to start on the original wheels (no missing chunks like some) but the cracks were filed open and filled with epoxy of the same expansion of the original casting. They were then coated with 10 sprays of plastic adhesion waterborn and then colored and cleared.  No other filler was used as that shrinks and lifts. Too many hours spent on blocking and re-taping multiple times but the result is very good.
Let me know if what I am saying is of interest to you and we can continue with pictures etc. I realize this has to be the color you need so the market may be limited, but this was a pretty common color offering in 1956. I'm in no hurry to sell as I've invested a lot in this project.
Let me know. Thanks, Chuck

If a dead deer head can go on a wall, why not a steering wheel? Great conversation starter!
