Could not post pictures when responding to a PM

As stated above, I tried to respond to a private message about 1959 door guard trim by supplying pictures from the MPL, but could not because the normal ways to attach item/pics under a specific topic sections was not provided.

I also could not add/insert a picture within the text message as is also possible in the specific topics sections.

I thought I could do this in the past, or is that not true.
If true, what is going on that it is not permitted now.
Or, if it wasn't possible in the past, let's get that fixed to allow it going forward.
