Do you mean gun sights, that are pot metal at the front, or the stainless part that runs back to the windshield ?Ken Perry

I'm only familiar with 59 and 60. Most all of the stainless on those cars were flash chromed to maintain  color consistency between like parts supplied by various vendors. It is easy to burn through the chrome while polishing the stainless leaving a blotchy finish.
