Title: 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz windhose top ends
Post by: raul.kolk on March 15, 2024, 08:25:58 AM
Hello there!

I have a couple of questions regarding the wind hose. Should the hose's end be finished with a rubber cap or sewn?

Also, I have noticed a small bracket holding the top end screwed to the body under the quarter window panel. Could you please confirm if this is the correct installation method for my application?

My Seville (#250) had the rubber cap that had a metal tab attached. It was built in late 56. Does anyone make a reproduction rubber cap?

Yes, there are caps available on the market (https://www.google.com/search?q=Windlace+Rubber+Stop&rlz=1C1PDZP_etEE1065EE1065&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8). We have them on our 57-6267X. However, the interior has been redone in the past, which makes it uncertain if the caps were originally used. Therefore, I am looking for clarification on this topic.
