just picked this up complete auto but hasn't run in 40 years. right now just trying to see if engine will start. It is not seized. Having starter rebuilt. changed wires cleaned points disconnected all the belts.
As soon as starter is back we will give it a whirl and see what happens. By the way anybody that has one of these and don't know what that white stuff is on the exhaust pipe it is asbestos. so take care in removing it.

Just received the starter back will give it a try tomorrow. I will post and let who ever is interested if I  it started.

Sir,
There are LOTS of things you should do BEFORE you hit that starter. Starting long dormant motors has been heavily discussed on this board. I strongly suggest a search. Remember... the car has positive ground.
