Does anyone know what type of carpet was OEM for a '59 Cadillac? I'm not sure if I should purchase a 80/20 Loop, Nylon Loop or a plush pile ---or a Ultra Plush Pile??
Any direction would be appreciated! Thanks.

OEM was a loop pile nylon blend, although the thickness/plushness varied between series; the Sixty Special had thicker, denser carpet than the regular models, and its possible the De Villes were plusher than the Series 62.  But I don't think you will find anything that completely duplicates OEM; I have never seen a replacement carpet that replicates the bound "slots" found on the transmission tunnel under the dash on an original car.

Stock interiors tells me the OEM was the 80/20 loop they offer.
