Hi to all.
I have taken on a 38 la salle 2 door convertible for my friend and neighbor.  I have previously restored a 30 pierce arrow and a 29 model a.
we want to put a new motor/automatic transmission and rear end in the car. we have all the components for that picked out.
we plan to add disc brakes to the front and leave the back with drums.
The frame is stripped and ready for paint when the weather warms up.
we are looking at power steering to add to the mix.   Does anyone have suggestions on where to get a power steering box.
The floor pan is pretty badly rusted out.  is there any replacement floor pans that will fit this.
Any help and guidance is appreciated

With no information as to the year, make, model of the engine and front suspension being used, it is hard to give any kind of specific answer as to the power steering box (Chevrolet? Aftermarket?).  Surely you are using a more modern front suspension along with that new steering box, disc brakes and modern engine.
There are a myriad of aftermarket sources and many steering choices.  You can do an internet search, to include the pertinent information as to what your setup will be.
Offhand I would not use the stock front suspension or steering with the modern capabilities you are incorporating in your resto-mod, and I would say you are on your own for a power steering box if you plan to use the stock front end.
There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Mental Illness".  Dave Barry.   I walk that line.

G'day Jim,

Congratulations upon taking on this challenge, but I am not sure if you realise that the Cadillac & LaSalle Club is dedicated to restoring these cars back to original.
