This afternoon I replaced all the accessory drive belts on my '67 Eldorado. The power steering pump torqued up fine, but the alternator tensioning bolt sheared off (leaving the threaded part in the alternator).

Anyone have a good trick to remove this what's left of this bolt, and what the proper replacement should be? Do I need to move the a/c compressor, brackets and whatever else to completely remove the alternator to drill it out? Am I better off simply getting a replacement alternator?   >:D

I'm so close to getting this car back on the road, but she seems to want to stay in the garage for as long as she can!

Thanks in advance,

Antoni
