There was a member needing a 1941 unit and I contacted him and told him that I sold a similar one to Lars Kneller that he had restored by a fellow CLC member. Lars was well satisfied with the job and price. The tube is larger around than a 1941 but the part that shows, and the installation is the same as 1941.

I had found that my tube has a split about six inches from the bottom about one inch long. I asked the potential purchaser to contact Lars' restorer and find out if the split could be repaired. Instead, he contacted the restorer mentioned recently on the Forum who promptly said that he could not repair it.

Yesterday I contacted Lars' restorer who mentioned several ways of repairing the split, including replacing the tube if needed. In other words, yes, the damage could be repaired. So, if your 1950-1952 Cadillac back to 1941 needs an antenna tube with "most" of the unit present, I have one. It is missing the chrome bezel and the antenna mast is broken at the top. It is "as removed" from the auto. No attempt to disassemble it has been made.

I have not included the CLC member's name as I don't know if he did it just as a favor to Lars or not. I will let the purchaser call or email him so he can see if he will take on the job, give an estimate on price, whatever, before I accept payment or ship the unit. If things work out, I can send it directly to the restorer to save postage. I don't see how I could be much fairer than that.

$50.00 plus domestic shipping. (I am fairly close to where the restorer lives.) Overseas shipping would be actual cost. The pictures show the unit's condition, the damaged section and the top section. Thanks for your consideration.
