Has anyone ever successfully removed fine scratches from windshield glass, such as those made by the wiper blades ?

I would appreciate hearing from anyone that has accomplished this, either by doing it themselves, or having had it professionally done.

Whitney sells a glass polishing kit with very fine abasives suited for the job. They also sell it at some auto parts stores and body shop supply houses. I did it years ago by hand; get the no swirl polisher from Black and Decker. Results depend on your fine steady hands, or the guy at the glass or body shop. No worse than polishing a paint job.

You could also use toothpaste or corn starch in the same way. Paste first then the corn starch to finish off.
