I am attempting to identify the application of a Delco radio that was included with a number of Cadillac parts. The model # 7265843 is on the radio identification tag along with Serial# 7349-CD. It looks like a 1954 Cadillac radio but the model number is not the same. Any help would certainly be appreciated. Even a suggestion as to a source I might research.
Thanks
Bill
This is a cool site to ID vehicle radios/gauges/etc.

It IDs 7265845 as a '55 radio but I dont see 7265843.

My mistake. The last number is a 5. The only question remaining: was there something different about the radio or it's installation in a convertible since a little note on the tag says "for convertible only" ?
From that same website:
Cadillac 1954-55 Series 62, 60 Special, 75
Wonder Bar AM PB radio 12V
Delco 7264165 1954 sedan, hardtop (with fader)
Delco 7264185 1954 convertible (without fader)
Delco 7265825 1955 sedan, hardtop (with fader)
Delco 7265845 1955 convertible (without fader
The convertible did not have a rear speaker, so there was no front/rear fader, and no wiring for the rear speaker.

I never gave it much thought. So many different radios. '57 was the first year with rear seat radio speaker in convertibles.
That set.\,as described, could be from several models. Unfortunately, my Delco books are in the lower level here, and hard to get to.
In identifying a radio, don't bother with the serial number. It doesn't tell anything.
