Okay so I found out the crap cap on my 64 is leaking/spraying. I can easily get a new one from Napa but they're crap. Who makes the best repro cap for a 64 and while I'm at it for a 59? Something thats not a cheap immatation?
I haven't yet had issues with Stant brand who has been around forever. I think they were and still are the most common OE maker. I would think they make the Napa ones too but maybe not.
Here you go.
I bought one for my 75' Eldo looks and works great.

I agree. I have a Stant cap on my '49 that works perfectly; that is, stays on tightly, keeps pressure and temp gauge stays at correct temperature. If the car is in a judged show, I have an AC cap that looks good but doesn't work that I install temporarily.
You might find that an old-stock aftermarket cap is higher quality that many made today?
Could be cheaper on that E site than GM. Great to have a spare too.
Have been quite satisfied with what I obtained from Fusick Automotive Products Inc. Clay/Lexi
So today I had her out and she kept between the first mark and middle. It was 82 degrees and dry. Nothing concerning but my old 55 would keep at the first mark with the AC compressor on at 107. Maybe I'm being too OCD?
The last cap I purchased from Fusick must have been about 3 - 5 years ago and it was fine when I parked my car last fall. Hopefully their manufacturing quality remains the same. Although the cap was not cheap, I would purchase this product from them again. Clay/Lexi
