Curious to know if anyone has rebuilt their power steering box themselves?
I need to do four of them.
I could send them all out and expect a big bill at the end or pull one down and get a handle on it.
I don't know if there were any issues with any of them prior. I guess I'll know when I pull them down.
I see a couple of kids around the $200 mark.

Hi Quentin, I rebuilt my 54 steering box. I've got the Kent Moore tools and I managed to get a NOS steering shaft and recirculating ball nut. It wasn't difficult. Replacing worn parts will be hit or miss as far as availability goes ( I got the NOS bits from Australia! If its just oil seals required on all 3 then I would say to go for it.

Thanks Phil, yes I expect that a tear down will quickly reveal what is worn and what condition  bearings are in. O rings are readily available.
