Title: Current project
Post by: DouglasJRizzo on April 30, 2017, 12:29:30 PM
My current project -
A 1975 Superior Crown Sovereign Landaulet Side Loading Hearse on a Z code commercial chassis.
19k miles. It sat for years, and was deteriorating. I bought it for $1k.

All the proper equipment is still in the car, I was fortunate as many of these get "gutted" and the bier and related furnishings are difficult to replace.
Originally Georgian Silver with a black cross grain landau roof. Someone painted her white years ago.

Going to do a bare metal re-spray in Inverary Green.

It's going to look like Claire's Hearse from the HBO series Six Feet Under.

TOTL vehicle in its day.  Seeing a side - loader in action is quite an experience.

Not quite like the show - that was more of a yellow-green.
Inverary Green is quite a bit deeper, at least to the charts. If she's too "yellow" it'll go a Pinehurst Green.

I was told quite expensive for the day.
Thankfully the bier and mechanicals are all still there.
