Title: Help! Both blinkers on when left is activated
Post by: First on June 07, 2017, 11:13:43 PM
Any ideas what might cause both rear blinkers to flash on my 1950 Caddy when I put my directional on to the left? The directionals works fine when turned to the right.
Any help is appreciated!

I presume the turn signal and tail light are in one bulb.  There are probably a number of causes but if it was me the first thing I would check is the ground on the left tail light socket.
What happens when the brake is pressed?

I had the same problem with the front turn signal lights of a '62. The culprit so far was wiggling the connector between underhood light harness and the front grille extension of the light harness. Since the latter is heavily messed up by previous owners anyway I have ordered a replacement from Lectric Limited and did not bother with (durable) repair attempts.
