The turn signals on my 1968 Cadillac Sedan de Ville work but I have to hold the lever up for the right one to stay on. Can this be fixed? If so, how hard is it to do and what part do I need to replace?
Thanks
Scott
Sounds like you have something broken within the switch.
You would have to pull the steering wheel to access it, and see what is wrong.
It may be simple, but maybe not.

Your switch is broken. If you have the Tilt/Telescoping assembly it will be a REAL chore. If the standard steering column I don't think it will be hard to replace and you can find parts. Not so with the T&T column.
I know because I have been there and fixed mine. The factory shop manual is pretty good at explaining how to do it.
Good luck.
I don't have the tilt wheel. I have a repair manual on order should be here next week. Where is the best place to order the part from?

The biggest problem is actually finding someone that actually has that part.
I have been chasing the switch for a Tilt Column, with no luck.

Do a search on this forum and you'll find several other discussions on this issue. Pretty sure that nobody is reproducing the tilt & telescope version of the 68 switch still. But a few guys have figured out how to repair them I think.
