They might fit, but I doubt that they would actually work when the car was let down from the Jack.  That is if you could actually let the jack down without the tyres wrecking the wheel arches on the Fenders.

The Eldorado Wheels are specific, with the mounting flange being right at the outside face of the wheel rim.

The picture shows an Appliance Wheel and you can see just how far the centre is protruding outside the outer rim edge.

That wire wheel looks like an optional wire wheel that was available for the Cad Devilles in 1978-92. Also the Sevilles for 1978-79.
They were rear wheel drive so I don't think it will fit the 76 Eldorado.

Seville makes sense, seems like I remember those had fairly wide axles as part of the euro handling concept.
73 Eldo convert w/FiTech EFI, over 30 years of ownership and counting
Somewhat recently deceased daily drivers, 80 Eldo Diesel & 90 CDV
And other assorted stuff I keep buying for some reason

Seville, Deville, they all used the same RWD wheels back then.

That's an aftermarket wheel, nice one, but a no-go for your Eldo.

Thanks guys! These wheels (set of 4) are listed on ebay if anyone is interested. I've seen a few wire rims on the 76 eldo most have been low rider cars. Thank you all for saving me the time and money. I love this place. MANY MANY Thanks!

I have yet to see any aftermarket wheels that look better than the black and stainless hubcaps on the regular wheels.

Appliance made a aluminum basketweave design wheel for these cars, and they were popular back in the day, but they always got oxidized and dull.

If anyone made real wire wheels for the car, with the offset design, and the weight and stress on them, I would think they would be problematic.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

I think these were made as a option for RWD cars - I had a set on a 68 de Ville convert once.

Funnily enough, I needed a centre cap for one and it was cheaper and quicker to order it from America thatn it was to get it from the manufacturer here in England - I think they are Dunlop if memory serves!

Dave,

Thanks.  I love that car!
I had one exactly like it when I was 20 in 1978, except it had a white top.
