Ok I am down to the last 10% of this restoration of my 1959 Cadillac.  After spending the last 2 years braking the car down, body work and painting the car.  I am almost done putting the car back together.  But the problem is the horn and horn ring.  I cannot get the horn ring to work.  The horn ring worked before I started and I can use a jump wire at the steering wheel to get the horn to work.  The problem is I can’t get the horn to work with the horn ring.  I believe I still have all the parts.  I think I am putting the horn ring in right but do not have a picture of before and can't find a diagram of the system.  I am hoping someone can remove the steering wheel cap (one screw) and take a picture or have a diagram.

Thanks,
Erik

Huge piles of engine parts, brackets, tin, Hydramatic & Jetaway parts,  thousands of stainless moldings, dozens of perfect sedan doors.

[Hi John,  when you dissasemble the horn , I have been looking for the Plastic? insulator that goes in the center of the steering clomn to insulate the horn wire from the steering cloumn.  Could you photograph that and can I buy it?  I assume it is about the size and shape or a sewing thimble.   Thanks  Kevin]

Did you, or does anyone have a lead on the plastic needed for this issue?  Please email me if you do.  Magicchiz@hotmail.com
