Need motorized trunk pull-down mechanism which will fit 1983 Seville.  Mine seems to have failed with hook in down position.  Motor runs all the time unless unplugged.  Trunk closes all the way but does not latch.

George, what are you going to do with the broken one?  I am the curious type and would like to see how these units work and what fails in them.  Would you be willing to send it my way?

I took my trunk pull-down mechanism off and disassembled it for inspection.  Found several damaged teeth on large plastic gear.  Everything else working fine.  Probably not repairable but not ready to decide what to do yet.  Thanks for your replies
