Does this sound suspicious?

So I received a message on Face Book messenger from a John Houlsby.  He asked if I was a member of the CLC and I said I was.  His response was, "Can you tell me what your CLC member number is?  Sorry, I can't find you in the directory"
I asked him for what reason and never heard back from him.  Does anyone know who this person or had any type of similar experience?

That name ( John Houlsby) sounds vaguely familiar.  Do you live in FL?

I just checked the 2017 directory and there is a John Houlsby in FL and I remember that he is working on getting a southeast FL region started.

I've never lived in Florida.  I'm in the military so I constantly move around but never to Florida.

Well, then I don't know. If you have the directory you can call or write him, but he might have got your name mixed up with another similar name from someone in FL. I know that he is reaching out to southeast FL residents in the national CLC for his new region.
