WTB 1930's Cadillac, Buick wire wheel  balance acorn nuts. Are they a unique to the 1930,s.  Can new ones be purchased and passed  for the old. What is the thread size? I,m thinking 10-24.  I,ve seen them in different sizes (weight) to balance the tire and rim. i do not have any studs in the rims where the holes are. Any help appreciated. Mike, 31 Buick 91 , 7 passenger limousine with side mounts. It had wood spoke rims on it that had marginal lock ring groves. I did not trust them. Picked up 6 wires many years ago and had them acid dipped. I didn't understand the process. Thought it only removed paint.  Little did I know the brass studs would disintegrate. I don't know what thread size they were. The wood wheels had these same studs. I gave those wheels away 20 years ago. I,m putting new tires and tubes on and have to put the studs in first. I appreciate any help. This car will be for sale later this summer. I have many running gear parts. I need these studs to get rubber on the rims.  Thanks , Mark S. CLC# 31143
