Dear Folks: I am a brand new member and hope to trade my 1954, very original and highly maintained, 57,600 mi Jaguar XK 120 OTS LHD for a similar Cadillac convertible. I will be completing the restoration of my 1958 XK 150S LHD OTS, which I have owned since 1974 and is the automotive love of my life (with my wife's permission), by next spring (I hope). I have always admired the Cadillac and am especially looking for a 1941 62S convertible or a 1949 to 1953 62, or 1957, 1958 convertible. Originality is most important to me, and I'm hoping to find an honest, original car, rust free, strong running car which will be cared for and driven regularly.
The Jaguar: 1954 Jaguar XK 120 OTS LHD (des. Aug.23,1953). Highly maintained 57,640 mi original, VIN 674217. I purchased in Aug.2004, from owners of 42 yrs. and have commissioned new brakes, stainless exh., 5 Vredestine Sprints, rebuilt Moss box, correct Radiomobile, front end reblt./align., and Bill Bassett restored bonnett, side curtains, carpets, boot carpet, tonneau. Orig. tools, jack, Smutty pump, Bakelite covers, spats. Silver/red/black. Now advertising in Hemmings and JCNA for $83,500. The car is located in Amherst, MA.
Thanks for helping this new member attain a Cadillac. Jim Collins, jamesgerardcollins@comcast.net, 413-548-6096.
