Post by: PVM on June 10, 2009, 05:49:15 AM
Hello, localy on sale this car:
http://auto.plius.lt/skelbimas/lange/lengvieji-automobiliai/cadillac-fleetwood/id-312616
Price decreased 3times! On this price it trully will go away.
Just question on this thing. What bad/not original you can see on it? Are red seat cover original? It looks not right for me.
Thanks for all opinions.

It's hard to say without seeing the car. Many limousines could be customized by after market coachworks or possibly special ordered at the factory.  I have never seen red seats but it is possible that they are factory.   Here in the US, there aren't too many people interested in limousines because of their size and the cost to restore them.  That may be a bigger issue really.  The 1975 limousines were the last of the long body style for Cadillac.  I hope someone saves this one!  Good luck.

That seat is from a 1980's Brougham d'Elegance, for one thing.  The wire wheel covers didn't really come out until 1977.

I thought wire wheel covers came out in late 75 on the 76 seville? I know many 76 caddies had them might have been dealer installed

Those wheel covers are correct for a '76, but could have been installed at any time in the car's life. But I have to say that seat is just wrong in that car. It sticks out like a sore thumb and is also too narrow. It is definatley from an 80's/early 90's Brougham d'Elegance.

I agree on the back seat.  Looks like something "Pimp My Ride" would do.
