Title: 1949 convertible door striker
Post by: ccp49 on January 29, 2011, 08:47:11 PM
Hello, all.
Wondering if anyone knows whether the strike plates (the plate that attaches to the door jamb with two sunken phillips screws) is the same on all doors.  Mine have some wear and so would need to repair before replating.  Or, find some replacements to replate that are not worn.   Thinking I have a better chance finding some rear door strike plates that are usable.
Thanks,
Dan

And, yes, I realize there is left and right for all models.

Jeff,
Don't you have a club coupe? If so, can you check to see whether your sedan strike plates are the same as on the CC?  I would bet the Coupe plates are the same as the convertible plates, no?

Thanks,
Dan
