Title: Anyone have experience installing new intake manifold gaskets properly
Post by: CarlSpackler on February 14, 2011, 03:57:18 PM
I removed my intake manifold and replaced a rotted out choke tube. Anyone have experience installing new intake manifold gaskets properly? Can not find any info in service manual or Fel Pro site.

I have the Fel-Pro MS8931SH1 set for a

??? Use sealant or not? If so which type and where? Gasket has ridges on it and not sure which side faces toward manifold?

Appreciate any advice or experience.

Thanks

I would add clean.
I always scrape all surfaces with a single edge razor blade to insure no old gasket or other dirt remains.
