Happy New Year to everyone.
I hope this will be a productive winter restoring my "47 sedan. I want to paint it it's original color witch is Cavern Green. I was wondering if any has their car painted in this color and would post some pictures of them. I have a little original paint left in the rear door wheel well. Engine and all pumps will be sent out this month for rebuilding, will post pics when things start to come together. Marty M.
Marty, see my thread on my 48 60 Special below. I can post photos, however this is a tricky colour, in most photos it looks black and if you use a flash it looks too green.
Let me see what I can do.

John
Thanks John, that would be great.Great looking '48 thats some good looking body too. I've been trying to by some but can't seem to get the right codes to match the old paint. Marty
Hi Martin,
Here is a photo, as I said its a tricky colour to photograph. In bright light its clearly green, in shadow it looks black. This was before I pulled my car apart.

The best thing to do is to match it off what you have, it is a good colour and suits these cars.

Hi Martin, I had the same problem with Antiontte Blue. I finally chose a color very near to the blue in the trunk and cowl and I really like it. Take a look at my Restoration Blog for the 1942 series 6719. There are sunlight pictures and shop pictures. They say both colors are about the same difficulty to duplicate and about as dark as each other. They both look close on the chips I have which I bought on eBay. I could send the chips to you if it would help. It was suggested to me too late to go to WWW.autocolorlibrary.com which I eventually did but it appears that they are primarily a paint vendor. Good Luck Gary Griffin
Martin,
We finished the 60S refurb yesterday, here is a photo taken in the sun, this is as green as this colour gets!
