Title: WTB upper cowl/windshield surround '42-'47 Cad convert
Post by: Buford8 on February 27, 2012, 11:09:31 AM
I have a '42 Cadillac convert that I am restoring...the windshield posts were damaged sometime in the past...just wondering if anyone has info about where I might find the upper cowl area and if maybe a Buick Roadmaster or a 98 Olds might be the same?  Any help?   Thanks, Buford8

Don't know if this would help you or not but i have the inside chrome garnish moldings for the windshield and the top of door garnish moldings.

Buford,
I'm not sure how badly your parts are damaged, but I would not recommed trying to do a top of cowl swap. I would assume all 42 to 47 "C" body convs. would be the same along with those same cars with the shorter front end like 46,47 Buick Super convs. However, I would try and find the most skilled body/ fab shop in your area & have them rework what you have. I think It'll be alot easier in the long run. It would be a good idea to obtain inner & outer moldings if yours were damaged.
HTH, Bob
