Here's a way to easily paint your wheels. These are 5 wheels from my 41 6227D coupe. Wheels can be a pain to paint unless you come up with a way to suspend and rotate them. I use two meat hooks suspended from the rafters of my garage (lowering them a bit with bailing wire). Then I use a big wooden closet dowel or piece of pipe to load the wheels onto. Paint each side first and then rotate the wheel to paint the middle. Use single stage urethane for toughness and ease of touch ups. I know some folks prefer powder coating, but you really can't do touch ups on powder coat. I've posted these pictures with some others as I finish the restoration of this 41.
